Mid-Season trends 2021

Mid-Season trends 2021

It's currently the middle of summer, which means we still have some time until fall, but that doesn't mean we can't start talking about it at the very least. This upcoming season, we're prepared to see super cute trends that you'll want to get on top of stat. So if you're excited for the new season's styles or you just want to be inspired by a bunch of pretty outfits, take a look at these fall 2021 fashion trends.

There's everything from super bright hues like hot pink and lime green to fun printed tights, as well as luxe coats that will pull together any fall ensemble. If you're completely over the blazing hot temps right now, they might just make you the tiniest bit excited for fall weather—emphasis on might. Keep scrolling for the best fall 2021 trends to come out of fashion week, and don't be surprised when you start seeing them legit everywhere next season.

Sweater wests

To sleeve or not to sleeve? That is the question. And the answer is the latter – according to an emerging cohort of preppy dressers collectively fuelling the renaissance of scholarly staples. Enthusiasm for sweater wests, in particular, has soared. No longer associated solely with librarians and academics (full respect to both for their simultaneously smart and practical choice), the sweater vest has now found its way into the wardrobes of fashion aficionados as well.

Lime green

The brighter, the better! Lime green will be everywhere before you know it. So lime green 2021 is all about that intense, vibrant, vibe. The lime green, as mentioned above, is a mix of a yellow and a green. It’s often more about the color of the lime’s pulp than the peel, although both shades are accepted as lime green. As for 2021, the lime green is often styled as a more preppy version, but also activewear. It’s often done in silky materials, or casual styles such as hoodies and joggers.

Colourful outfits

In truth, color is severely lacking in many wardrobes, and it’s such a shame. Wearing color can do amazing things for your skin tone, hair color, and overall appearance. While basic black will forever be a wardrobe staple, adding in a few more shades can spice up your wardrobe and add interest to your look.

This trend has reappeared for the last couple of seasons, but summer 2021's incarnation sees more variety in its offering. Wear yours alone with shorts on holiday, with high-waisted trousers for a dinner or as a layer over the top of dresses, shirts or tops for a more contemporary aesthetic.

Wide legs

Good news for those of us who have spent the best part of a year in tracksuit bottoms, this season's trouser shape of choice is a very relaxed affair. Admittedly they don't have elastic waists, but the hemlines are wide enough to disguise you footwear beneath - great news if you're finding it hard to break up with your slippers.
